RE: Weber Q Question
On my Q220 I removed the regulator and added a quick disconnect to attach to my LP quick disconnect fitting on the coach. Depending on the coach, fittings can be purchased at your RV parts dealer, Home Depot, or LP supplier.

School buses have no seat belts. Do you let your kids ride the bus?
School buses and Transit buses must meet DOT safety standards that Motorhomes do not. A few motorhomes meet or approach the safety standards, however most fiberglass-sided motorhomes do not meet the standards. My only point is that the statement above is not applicable in most cases for a true comparison.
The laws of physics do apply and mass & momentum rule. However, if your motorhome does not have a safe upper structure or steel cage around the passengers, you can still have problems in an accident.
I would guess most people in Motorhome accidents are injured from failing structures and flying debris. Of course, I have no data to support this.

We have the single speed and the six speed. The six is aluminum and a much better bike to ride. I would not buy the single speed. Being steel, it is heavier and more prone to rust in a camping environment.

the reese signature series does not use rails. it has four holes in the bed for the removable hitch legs to insert into receiving pucks flush with the bed.

I had an arctic fax 1140 TC and it fit fine in my Chevy 3500 with the Reese Signature series removable 5th wheel hitch.

The older the RV, it will be better if you can do your own maintenance. They all will need maintenance, but the older ones usually require a little more work due to previous owners neglect. However, if you shop around, you can find an older unit that has been garage kept with maintenance records.
You should check out some older Blue Bird Wanderlodges. You can find a nice one for price you are seeking. Google vintagebirds, wanderlodge owners group, and wanderlodgeforum.

Heating costs are a function of insulation, solar gain, and among other things, The difference in the inside and outside temperatures. The greater the difference in temperatures, the more energy ($$$) needed to keep it there. Lowering the thermostat will lower the heating bill. Your energy provider might be able to provide you with estimates of the savings.

we camp at Mountain Lakes....have family membership. Check with one of the campgrounds there and see if you can get a guest pass. We have been members for ages so I am not not familiar with the current memberships.

I have a 2005 Chevy 3500 dually and I had an 1140. It is the same approx weight as your 1150. I installed air bags and RS9000 shocks. I was very pleased with the performance. I even towed with a torqlift superhitch setup and was comfortable with 5k in tow.

Check out the Birds for sale at vintagebirds.com for some good buys on old steel. Owning an old bird is almost like a cult. Do your research before you buy. A nice paint job is expensive. There are birds out there for sale that have been garbage kept with maintenance records. I've seen some nicer units in the 20-30k range that I believe would be a better starting point. However, if you want to seriously consider the one you have found, I would get an experienced Bird owner to go over the unit with you to better estimate the problems and repair costs.
If you decide to join the Bird family, you will find many knowledgeable people to help you on your journey.

I would not pressure wash the roof. You can easily force water into you seams or even cause separation of sealed joints. The "stains" you are refering to are normal and will turn back white after a short time in the sun. Every time you wash the roof, they will appear. You should wash your roof about twice a year using dish soap like Ivory or Polmolive and rinse with plenty of water. Of course, only use your normal pressure from your home's water spigot.

You could add an anti-siphon loop with a vent line to prevent the problem. It essentially consists of a running your overflow line above the two ends and inserting a tee with a vent line running up.

I have a low pressure port on my RV that I hook to the Q200. I removed the Q200 regulator since it was not needed (coming off the Low Pressure port) and added a 12' house with a quick connect adapter that fits the RV. This allows me to use the 45 gal LP tank for a lot of grilling.
If you are hooking to a High Pressure valve, you still need the Q200 regulator.
I also love the Q200 cooking!
